NOVICE SKILLS COURSES

Each Novice Skills Course has two sessions; an AM and a PM session. Each session accepts up 10 students each (20 total). AM courses have riding in the morning and theory classes in the afternoon. PM courses are the opposite with riding in the afternoon and theory classes in the morning.

Weekend Courses (WE) - 4 day course

• Select Saturdays & Sundays (over 2 weekends)

• Riding - Camosun College Interurban - rear parking lot P3

• Theory Sessions - Camosun College Interurban, Jack White building, classroom JW109

• AM courses Day 1 & Day 3 = Full Days, 8:00am-5:00pm - Riding starting at 8:00am, followed by Classroom theory at 1:00pm

• AM courses Day 2 & 4 = 1/2 days, 8:00am-12:00pm - Riding sessions only

• PM courses Day 1 & Day 3 = Full Days, 8:00am-5:00pm -Classroom theory starting at 8:00am , followed by riding at 1:00pm

• PM courses Day 2 & 4 = 1/2 days, 1:00pm-5:00pm - Riding sessions only

• Select Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays (See note 1 for WD4)

• Riding - Camosun College Interurban - rear parking lot P3

• Theory Sessions - Camosun College Interurban, Jack White building, classroom JW109

• AM courses - Riding at 8:00am, followed by Classroom theory at 1:00pm

• PM courses - Classroom theory at 8:00am , followed by riding at 1:00pm

• Day 1 & Day 3 = Full Days, 8:00am-5:00pm (AM & PM) - Theory & Riding sessions

• Day 2 & Day 4 = 1/2 Days, (AM) 8:00am (PM) 1:00pm - Riding sessions only (no Classroom theory)

Exception Notes:

1. WD4 AM & WD4 PM runs Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Extra Training will not be available. Students who require extra training may be moved to another course at a later date after receiving the required extra training. Extra Training information available here.
