We are welcoming the public (riding and non-riding) to come down and find out all about the Vancouver Island Safety Council and the programs we have to offer.

The goal of this Open House is to not only showcase what the Vancouver Island Safety Council has to offer, but bring together the Victoria riding community to one event. VISC has been serving the South Island community for over 30 years, educating thousands of people to be safer pedestrians, bicyclists, drivers and riders.

One of the main things that the Vancouver Island Safety Council is known for is our motorcycle training program and we are hoping this event will help us touch base with our past, present and future riders.

This event will provide a great opportunity for people considering learning to ride a motorcycle to come out and talk with our instructors and ask questions about motorcycling, our courses and the enjoyment of learning to ride.

If you currently ride and are looking for ways to improve your skills, then come find out all about our Experienced Riders Course or better yet, test your riding skills in our challenging Timed Riding Circuit!

So bring your bike; bring the family, because this will be the motorcycle event in Victoria this summer!

Timed Riding Circuit

The highlight of last year's event is back - bigger and better! Come out with your bike and take a few laps on our timed riding circuit!

Sponsored this year by Megson Fitzpatrick Insurance Services, this fun and challenging course will put your riding skills to the test. Put your best time up against fellow riders and even challenge the police! Prizes for the best time in each bike category.

This year we are excited to have teamed up with the Victoria Motor Sports Club. VMSC will be setting up and using their state of the art computer timing system to time the riders in the cone course!

$5.00 for two timed laps

DISCLAIMER: Participation in this event is done at your own risk. As this is a timed event, your ICBC motorcycle insurance will not be valid while participating in a time event. The Vancouver Island Safety Council and Camosun College are not responsible for any damage to person or property.

Wearing a DOT approved helmet is mandatory and we strongly recommend wearing full protective riding gear. VISC staff reserves the right to refuse a rider entry should they feel a rider or motorcycle is unsafe for participation.

JackFM will be promoting the event 6 times a day during their June 'Jacktivites' segments during the week of June 9 - 16 as well as 2 live 'Cruiser Cut Ins on the day of the event!

The Community Cruiser and the JackForce will be onsite with music and prizes!

Hungry? We got you covered!

No summertime event would be complete without burgers and hotdogs!

The Langford Fire Department Auxiliary will be on site with their mobile concession stand, ready to feed the hungry masses.

All food sale proceeds will be donated to help fight Muscular Dystrophy.
