What is an 'Alumni Group Ride'?
Alumni Group Rides are informal group rides that provide a group riding opportunity for graduates of our programs. We found that many of our students expressed an interest in meeting up with fellow students (and instructors) for group rides. We also realized that not everyone has a spouse of friend that rides, so these rides can provide new and experienced riders with a venue to meet and ride with fellow motorcyclists.
The Alumni Group Rides also provides a good way for VISC to continue to be involved with the riding community and keep in touch with our students after completion of our course(s).
Alumni Rides are typically held once a month from March thorough October.

NOTICE: Alumni Rides are informal group rides, meaning that this is not an official, sponsored or sanctioned 'course', 'event' or 'program' offered by the Vancouver Island Safety Council (VISC). All riders attending these rides do so of their own free will and accept any
and all risks associated with motorcycle riding. The Vancouver Island
Safety Council (VISC) is not responsible or liable for any damage or injury
that may occur during any of these group rides.
Any VISC staff attending these rides are doing so on a voluntary basis and
will not be offering or providing any instructing, coaching or giving of

Ride Tips: |
- Always ride at your own pace! Don't feel pressure from the group to ride beyond your own comfort level
- Print and bring a copy of the Route Map with you in case you get lost or split up. Each person in the group is responsible for knowing the route
- Study the ride route ahead of time so you are familiar with the route
- It's a good idea to get to the Starting Location early so you have time to visit with other riders before departing
